School Premiums

Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium is additional funding provided to schools for supporting certain pupils to ensure they benefit from the same opportunities as all other children.

There are three categories of children that qualify for Pupil Premium:

  • Children who are eligible for free school meals (FSM)
  • Looked after children
  • Armed forces children

All schools are required to report on the amount of funding received, how this is being used, and the impact of any work done. Our total funding for 2017/18 is £46,200.

PE and Sports Premium

In addition to Pupil Premium, the government is providing funding of £150 million per annum for academic years up to 2020 to improve provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools.

This funding is provided jointly by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport. Our total funding for 2016/17 is £8880.

The funding must be used to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sports provision. Please find below our full reports on how we plan to spend this year’s allocation, how the grant has been spent in previous years and the effect of this expenditure on the educational attainment of those pupils for whom the funding was allocated:
