Year 5 have been learning how to describe themselves and others in French and they have produced some lovely cards to send to Ecole Paul Verlaine, our partner French School. Some of the braver pupils were happy to be videoed using their best French. Bravo!
Year 5 are introducing themselves in French so that we can send it to our French partner School. The French pupils love to watch our children at work. We only took three “takes” for it to be perfect - Bravo, Year 5! Letters between the French children and the pupils of St John Fisher will follow.
Year 3 have started their topic on Spain 🇪🇸 which ties in with their starting to learn the Spanish language. They were busy today using the iPads to research the capital of Spain, a Spanish artist and some well known food and drink. The children can have conversations with their parents and friends to find out what they know....

Today we went to Tatton Park with our French visitors. The children played in the play area, visited the farm and made dens in the woodland area. The weather was kind and the children were great. Many thanks to all our families who came with us on the day and looked after their young guests....
Some lucky children and staff had the opportunity to go to France. Our amazing adventure started at Manchester Airport, we were lucky enough to fly to France in stead of the coach as previous years. Year 4 have been working very hard in their French lessons. The children have been learning how to say the names of different fruits in French and then putting everything they have learnt together by coming up with their own plays. In the plays the children were in a shop buying fruit.
