What is the Parent Teacher Association (PTA)?
The PTA is made up of Parents and Teachers who attend the meetings and volunteer their time and resources – as and when they can.
We are well supported by the School Staff group and we are particularly grateful for the keen support and encouragement of Mrs Hayes, Head Teacher.
Our PTA Aims
- To bring together Parents, Carers, Teachers and others to raise money, to support the school and make a difference for our children.
- To raise funds for specific projects for the benefit of the School and our Children.
- To organise ‘Social Events’ which Parents, Children and Teachers can participate in together.
- And very importantly – To have some fun!!
What We Do
The PTA provides a lively annual programme, including a Spring Fair, Dances, Bingo Events, Quizzes and many other fund-raising events that are thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. The PTA has been successful in helping to fund numerous projects for the school including the purchase of £1000 worth of books for the new school library, a new roller shutter for the PE store in the school hall, and makes an annual contribution of £10 per child towards the cost of a school trip. If you would like to volunteer to be part of this, or if you would just like to attend one of our meetings to see what we are doing – you will be made very welcome.
You can participate as much as you want, or whenever you want, we do appreciate how difficult it can be to make a regular, large time commitment, particularly when juggling home, work and family – every contribution, however much, is greatly received – we are a very friendly group. We’d love to see you at our next event!
