What is the PE and Sport Premium?
The PE and Sport Premium is extra government funding given to all primary schools to help improve the quality of physical education (PE), sport, and physical activity for children.
The aim is to make sure children are more active, healthier, and develop a lifelong love of sport and fitness. Schools must use the money to make lasting improvements that will benefit current and future pupils.
Why do schools receive this funding?
Schools are expected to use this funding to:

Increase physical activity levels for all pupils.

Raise the profile of PE and sport across the school.

Help staff improve their confidence and skills in teaching PE.

Offer children a wider range of sports and activities.

Encourage more participation in competitions and team sports.
How much funding do we receive?
Each year, schools receive:

A base amount of £16,000,
-
Plus £10 for every pupil in Years 1 to 6.

All children are expected to leave primary school being able to:
